Academy of the Holy Names

The Academy of the Holy Names is the Capital Region’s only Catholic, private, all-girls, preparatory school offering education to grades 6-12. Located in Albany, New York, Holy Names is a part of an global network sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary: a presence felt all throughout the world.

American Legion Riders

The American Legion Riders are known for their charity that raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for veterans homes, children’s hospitals, scholarships, severely wounded service members and schools. Riders nationwide have participated in The American Legion Legacy Run to annually raise money for the Legacy Scholarship Fund, established for the children of U.S. military personnel killed on September 11th, 2001.

Bold in Business- Albany Chamber

Capital Region Chamber represents 2,700 businesses and organizations in Albany, Saratoga, Schenectady, Rensselaer Counties and beyond in the Capital Region. Through administering leadership and resources, we are looking to support member businesses and our regional economy while representing more than 150,000 area residents. 

Each fall, the Capital Region Chamber welcomes a world-class speaker to share her insights on trends for women in business and how women can chart even greater success.

Capital District Jewish Holocaust Memorial

The Capital District Jewish Memorial’s mission is to educate the public about the consequences of brutality, hatred and apathy while memorializing the six million Jews and other victims of the Holocaust. The Capital District Jewish Holocaust Memorial is a 501 (c) (3) corporation established specifically for the management and development of a Holocaust Memorial based in the Capital District of New York for the purpose of memorializing the victims of the Holocaust and educating the public.

CD WERC Student Sponsor 

WERC has been advancing women’s success in the workplace by building their economic and personal independence in the Capital Region since 1988. WERC can proudly state that more than 9,000 women who lost their source of support due to a disability, death, seperation, divorce or their spouse’s job loss have received services. WERC’s training programs are also available to single mothers and women who are pending loss of public assistance benefits.

Colonie Police

The Colonie Police Department includes 50 support personnel, 111 sworn officers and 60 vehicles in the police fleet. The Police Department is structured in two main divisions: Field Operations, including patrol, investigtations and traffic safety, and the Administrative Services Division that supports communications, training, records, community services, animal control and personnel.

Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism

The Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism’s mission is to help families and people affected by autism live life to the fullest. The vision the foundation supports is a world where people with autism lead productive lives where they are respected, included and actively engaged in their communities.

Girls Inc

Girls Inc. inspires all girls to be strong, bold, and smart through direct advocacy and service. 

In partnership with Girls Inc. centers and schools, we focus on the development of the whole girl. She learns to take risks, discover and develop her inherent strengths, and value herself. The combination of a pro-girl environment, evidence-based programming, and long-lasting mentoring relationships equips girls to navigate economic, social and gender barriers, and grow up educated, healthy and independent. Informed by girls and their families, we also advocate for policies and legislation to increase rights and opportunities for all girls.

MVP Arena

Albany’s MVP Arena is “Upstate New York’s Premier Sports and Entertainment Facility.” Owned by ASM and renamed from the Times Union Center in January 2022, MVP Arena has a seating capacity between 6,000 and 17,500 and averages 165 events a year. Eighteen million patrons have walked through the turnstiles since Frank Sinatra christened the building on January 30th, 1990.

Regional Food Bank

The Regional Food Bank is the only organization of its kind in northeastern New York. The Regional Food bank distributes large donations of food to 1,000 agencies, including the Capital Region.

Saint Gregory’s School 

The Saint Gregory’s School offers independent, private education in the Capital Region to boys and girls of all faiths. From Preschool through 8th grade, Saint Gregory’s provides an elite education that strengthens students for their future on a 22-acre campus in Loudonville, a suburb in Albany, New York.

Siena College Athletics 

Siena athletics produces recreational and/or competitive opportunities to members of the Siena community while also giving student athletes a positive environment to live, learn, practice and compete.

Siena College lacrosse is a program within the experiences Siena College athletics provides. Like all Siena College athletics programs, the mission of the lacrosse program is to provide students with a positive environment to learn, compete, practice and live.

Saratoga Performing Arts Center

The Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC), located in the historic resort town of Saratoga Springs in upstate New York, is one of America’s most prestigious summer festivals.Its 2,400-acre park preserve in a tranquil setting surrounded by geysers, hiking trails, and natural mineral springs draw art connoisseurs and vacation crowds each year for immersive experiences of performances by The Philadelphia Orchestra, Opera Saratoga, New York City Ballet, The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the Freihofer’s Saratoga Jazz Festival, and concerts by Live Nation. SPAC hosts imaginative programming like “CulinaryArts@SPAC” and Caffè Lena @ SPAC. 

In its work on behalf of community, artists and art, SPAC works to inspire, educate, serve, and reveal the beauty in the world which respects, elevates, and connects all human beings.

Twin Bridges Championship

The Twin Bridges Championship is the longest running event on the LPGA’s Epson Tour, showcasing some of the league’s future stars for 38 years and counting.

Veterans & Community Housing Coalition

The Veterans & Community Housing Coalition has made a commitment to help homeless Veterans attain and maintain permanent housing, have access to health care, achieve financial stability and regain their dignity. The Programs of Veterans & Community Housing Coalition provide a resource and ray of hope for homeless Veterans as a resource.

Veterans & Community Housing Coalition (VCHC) was incorporated in 1983 in response to the number of homeless Veterans. Vet House, a fourteen bed transitional housing home for homeless Veterans, was opened with funding from the Veterans Administration.
